Not bad Jeff!

86 members in less than a week. Not bad at all! As we get more information in here, more people will switch from the ProtegeTech egroup. I think at lot of the people there focus on performance mods, so that section here could use a little more work to make it easier to use. What do you think Jeff? Are you planning to separate the Performance/Modification section into different groups for 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, MP3 & P5? Remember, the longer you wait, the more there will be to move.

Jesse, what revisions would you like to see? I agree it still needs some. I'd like to see the Modifications/Performance area split into 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, and maybe MP3/Protege 5, although they are essentially the same as the 3rd gen. I'm personally most interested in performance upgrades to the car, and the current categories are too broad to really be helpful finding things relavent to your specfic car. At least once more ProtegeTech members start to come over. The focus on ProtegeTech seems to be more toward performance than this board so far.

I do agree that the performance mods need to be split up into more specific groups, there are two ways I want go about it.
2.0L, 1.8L, 1.6,1.5L

P5/Mp3
3rd Gen
2nd Gen
1st Gen

Or I could put p5/mp3 into the 3rd Gens but some things arent the same intakes/catbacks etc.

Oh and this forum is here to stay

True the engines can't be seperated by displacement. The different generations works best because the engines have more in common that way. I like the idea of separate forced induction and Nitrous sections, since those have distinct issues all their own. I don't think suspension/brakes needs to have separate sections under 1st gen, 2nd gen, etc. for the exact reason you gave. If you separate too many things the sections will be seldom used. Remember, the title of the thread should be used to give an indication of what the thread is about. That should be enough. I think it's a good idea to separate the regions fairly secifically because some many people try to organize meets in their local areas. Just my $0.02. Keep up the good work Jeff.

Feed back is always good. If this forum gets enough people all the sections will get broken down to more specific sub-forums. With as fast as the forum is growing it probably wont be too far away and i'm going to be needing some moderators soon to help me keep track of making sure stuff is in the right place. Eric and Pseudo you guys seem to know your **** and seem like you would be mature enough to do it. So drop me an email if you think you would like to be a moderator jeffking@protegeclub.com and what section/s you would like to be a mod of.
