Question New Projects?

I was just wondering if anyone has any new projects for their Protege's?
Figured Id see just to get some conversation going.

mine are as follows.

1. Fix my passenger front door, it is out of line and I need to line it up(my phrase, Ill fix it one day)
2. I had thought about side piping my car just to see what it would sound and look like.

Side pipe plans

Have a muffler in the middle under the car, then have a "Y" pipe to split into dual pipes, then run pipe out to the side about half a foot away from the front of the back wheel...jsut to see what I can do with it....

its a good way for me to learn about pipe running, bending, and welding, etc...
I may not even keep it on there, Im just doing it to do it...

How bout you guys?

currently i am using some sensors (mainly temp and pressure)... and installing them around the car... and so far its noting special... just displays it on my pressure gauge or temp gauge (they aint even in permanently LOL sold the gauges too now haha)...

but what i wanna do is maybe create an interface to display it on my screen.. someting to keep me occupied these holidays...

My car:

Install MP3 Nardi steering wheel
Install Wagner short header
Port/install stock intake manifold (or single runner manifold depending if I go that route)
Install AWR baffled oil pan
Install auto-dim rear view mirror
Possibly install Mazdaspeed lightweight flywheel (waiting to hear on availability)
Edit: almost forgot, also paint and install Mazdaspeed side/rear skirts and DGM urethane front.

GF car:
Replace carpet (if in the budget)
Replace timing belt and water pump
Whatever else she decides she likes on my car!

I have until February to plan all this, and figure out whose garage I can dirty up (unless I can get a house).

If all goes well, I'm going to start importing headers from Taiwan. Waiting for the first two to test-fit. I am pretty excited about this.
Also doing the single-runner intake manifold, but will probably send out for port/polish and install it in the spring.

Install my DGM lip.
Repaint my interior (need to sand down center console)
Dismantle my sub rack so I can plug in my rear light
Re-wire my sub yet again (maybe update it w/a new 8")
Get CF hood
Touch up paint on door frame
Replace O2 sensor

hmmm... my protege is in alabama where my grand dad is having his friend weld in a new radiator support. once thats done i have to come up with the money to pay for it, and to get it painted. then i have to install all the stuff i have/hopefully get(springs, struts, oil pan, header, few other misc. things). then i have to save money up so i can pay for the rest of the womp kit, when its done.

for my 18th bday, which is tomorrow i recieved another project from my grand dad. its actually my bday, xmas present, and a whole lot more. lol pictures...

lol i'm mad at my dad because he sold my other one! lol when i was 11 he traded his harley for a '66 ivy green metallic, with original pony interior, everything on it was original it just needed an engine rebuild. on my 12th bday he knew i loved the car so he told me it was mine. then when my parents divorced he sold it. i don't know why.

looks great Tim (gotta call you Tim instead of Timmy now). I've got a 67 GTA mustang at my parents house. When / IF you get ready to mod yours let me know...I've got more experience building them than imports.

what is that a '68? sweeeeet!

no projects for me until well into 2006. i wanna finish the exterior with oem side & rear skirts. i'm not gonna do any more "power" mods until i get some driving lessons or more experience and learn not to make a fool of myself.

Nothing really for me, its starting to get too cold to do much! I guess my only thing to do now is work a lot so I can make money to spend on stuff that I can install come spring time! I thought of something I'm going to try making, and depending how hard it is to make, I'll see what kind of intrest it generates and maybe sell it...We'll see though!
