My gf and I have been looking at bedroom furniture, finally decided to pull the trigger. I said let's go whole hog and get a new mattress set. Let her pick one out since she uses the thing more than I (due to my job). Got a Serta version of the Tempurpedic. Everything was delivered yesterday so last night was the test drive. I have to say this stuff is amazing! The mattress is sooooo comfortable it is hard to believe. No pressure points, you can't feel the other person move around. It's gonna suck going back to a ship with the usual crappy mattresses.

If anyone has been considering buying one of these visco-foam mattresses I say go for it. You won't regret it.

 

I was looking for a bed when I moved into my apartment last year, but 450 for a nice pillowtop matress w/delivery and setup vs. 1500 for a foam pad (which is basically what it is). My broke *** chose the pillow top, and it is very nice.

I know what you mean, but I am at the point in my life where I can afford some niceties. This also means I am older and more prone to aches and pains. The fact it has a 30 year warranty, and you don't have to flip it periodically (supposedly) is icing on the cake.

Beds are like cars, very subjective purchases. Probably some good joke in there somewhere, but my lame brain can't figure it out!
