new apple products w/ intel inside

not too long ago, apple released a new laptop and new imac with intel processors instead of the ibm & motorola chips used in past affairs. whats the 1st thing you see on their marketing agenda?? "4x Faster" and "2x Faster" WTF!! they spent the good part of the '90s and the new century marketing their processors as intel pentium killers and what's their position now? INTEL IS FOUR TIMES FASTER!
not much to "switch" to now is there, Jobs, you overrated hack!
check out www.apple.com and see for yourself.

the biggest reason for the migration to intel was the processor power requirements. ibm couldnt get the G5 any more stable while keeping temps cool which is why you never saw a G5 laptop. and the previous Gx procs? well lets say motorola is best kept doing cell phones. also, dont go around expecting huge price drops. the intel silicon is still proprietary, and so is OSX (though theoretically OSX has been x86 compat since its inception - i've yet to see anyone sucessfuly port OSX to an x86 proc). if any of your are mac fans, i'm just getting some steam out. i just want apple to experience a painful demise, it needs to get off the market and stay off the market.

i had an AMD athlon processor as my last CPU... didn;t like it too much... back 2 intel now... hehe.. well i didn;t really have a choice with this laptop got a Celeron M (or what ever the mobile one is).... cooling is still a huge problem with this though.... it gets quite hot.. specially when i am doin audio production and editing

but i caint believe mac went to intel, as for motorolla chips... hehe yes they r a pain in the ***... we had 2 use a motorolla F1 microcontroller as part of our project @ uni.... and thing was a massive pain in the ***... never had so much trouble with a MP....

Well intel's are nice for what macs are supposed to represent i guess..

intels are the best for multitasking and complicated applications and encoding.

where as AMD is the best for gaming

the best thing is the guy in the vid is a huuuuge mac fanatic. he edits video content for his comedy troupe using avid and other mac software/hardware. its great when the mac community can point out its own flaws and run with it. something rare even with many pc fans. i'll admit windows is bloated and intel is slumping lately, but there are a core of mac pundits who don't reason with logic and spew out overhyped marketing like its milk flowing from their mom's tatas.

by the way, i just spent $1100 on some AMD hardware that will pwn a dual cpu G5 and still cost less for the comparable spec. along with that i also bought a 24" monitor for less than $900, i can't do that with a 23" apple cinema display
