Definately Miatas.
The second picture is that of a race-spec Miata used in Sega GT for Dreamcast, and later on for PC. The first picture I would agree that the windshield pillars give it right of the way.
Now, how the hell in the world is the yellow car an MR2? I still think it is a toy, even though F40 never came out as Targa.

I've only seen this in GT2 on PlayStation... never saw it in a real pic...

It has an odd niceness to it.. but I wouldn't own one..
