Mitsubishi Evolution Unveiling

North America yet again screws with the fascia of an already decent looking car and makes it look like a Galant.

Mitsubishi marketers didn't expect the traffic they'll be getting. The sites jammed up pretty bad now. It's a good sign for the SCC scene though.

Mazda6's North American fascia isn't so far from the original, so it's cool.

Damn 5 mph bumper regulations. Makes North American cars look like they have swollen lips.

Well I think it looks pretty damn sweet aside from the altezza taillights and huge wing.

...from what I read in an article a while back, all the Japanese carmakers are going towards having a unique characteristic for each brand....

Mazda: squinted eye headlamps and pentagon grille
Honda: Huge H on grille and Wedge headlamps
Mitsubishi: Split grille and altezza...

... so I guess they're just following suit with that strategy, the Evo still looks nice.. though I'd favor the current Euro version over this one...

By this argument then, Nissan would have to give up their ownership of altezza style lights, even though they're the ones who first introduced them on their Nissan Altezza/Lexus IS300.

Make it look like an SUV and it'll sell in North America. Hahaha.

I think it should be about the same as a 3 series BMW.
Around $35k?

It will most likely whip the Bimmer's butt though. 0-60 in less than 5 seconds!!

I am sure the J-Spec Evo VII front fascia swap will be a popular mod with the owners of the Evo VIII

I think it looks kinda cheap inside for $30K.
But the go factor is hard to argue with, I think I'll wait for the STI. Not that I can afford it either
