im sorry but thats ugly as sh*t, the front looks like a sunfire, which on a 4 door looks horrible, on a two door its not so bad (i used to own one), the wing on the back looks pansy, and it has the hp of an Si, which is the lowest in the sport compact range

I think it looks pretty nice IMHO. OK, the styling's not fantastic, but it looks a lot better than the current Lancer (the headlights on the current car have always looked too big IMHO) and it sounds like it could be a fairly fun car for not too much money. The horsepower rating is not stunning but it's not horrible either. I would think that Protege enthusiasts of all people would understand that there's more to a car than horsepower numbers. Overall, I think it could be a good competitor to a Protege ES... sporty and fun to drive, but cheap to buy and insure, conservative enough not to attract too much attention from thieves and cops, and comfy enough to be driven daily by someone with a wife and 2 young kids. Like me.
Also, about the 2.4L engine that "only" puts out 160 hp... so what? Specific output is overrated. I care much more about an engine that's responsive and has good midrange power than one that has stunning power-to-displacement figures, but has to be revved past 5,000 rpm to keep up with fast urban traffic. Like a Honda B16A.

It gets 160 hp out of a 2.4 liter engine. It's a SOHC engine. Honda gets the same amount of power out of a 1.6 liter engine.
So, what's gonna make people want to buy this car?

I was just gonna say it looks like a sunfire or vibe front grill. It's pretty ugly. They should just bring the evo's over even if the hp is gonna suffer and might have to follow strict safety laws
