Well if the refs didn't make such horrible calls, it would've been over in game 6.......

but hey, when Kobe elbows Bibby in the nose, and Mike has to play the rest of the game with a kleenex in his nose, why should that be called?

stupid Lakers... Shaq should've fouled out about 8 times in those 7 games.......

actually...

-kings blew it at the free-throw line.
-adleman went with stoakavich and not jackson
-doug christie scored 2 f#ckin' points in the game and was still hoisting 3's
-turkulu handles the rock like 3rd grader

the lakers weren't playing that well, but the kings just couln't put them away.

the officiating wasn't as bad as when they were in l.a. so i can't blame them too much, altho it was pretty inconsistent at times.

go nets!

Thumbs down I Hear You!

I hear what you're saying! But you should try being a Blazers fan-- We're the ones who keep getting butt fucked by the Lakers (over and over and over again), and it pisses me off to no end.

This year's latest lame routine is just another title for L.A.. The Nets don't stand a crying chance, in my opinion. This comes at an especially dissappointing end, as for one thing, L.A. doesn't deserve another title-- They already have two in a row, and watching them grab another one is just plain boring. Secondly, The Kings have never been to the NBA Finals-- They deserve to go more than L.A.. In addition to that, if anything, Bibby deserves a championship ring. That guy is *awesome*, and he can play like a champion even in the most intense pressure situations and drill his shots seemingly without effort. He's unstoppable and really made this latest Kings/Lakers series exciting... even if the wrong team won in the end.

So anyway, go Nets! As said, I don't think they have a chance, but I hope they at least win one game; in L.A..

******' Lakers...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the Lakers. Well, hate is a strong word, but I dislike them more than any other team in the league. I'll be the first to admit that Kobe is a great player, but he looks and acts so cocky on the court, I wish Bibby would be throwing elbows back. And as for Shaq, he's not good because he doesn't do anything but dunk and take 3-4 foot shots. He's not good, he's dominant. If only I were 7'1" and 300+lbs., I'm pretty sure I'd be good at basketball too.

And yes, Jackson should have definately been in way more than Christie. I'm sure he's a great player and all, but he was having a horrible night... There is no reason he should have stayed in the game.

If they could have only been a little better at the line, I think the game would have been theirs. The **** of it all is Bibby was playing like the champ of champions, no one can argue that point. It's not fair to him! Oh well, there's always next year

They should start the playoffs over so we can get some better teams in, or at least re-do the last round (go celtics )

...actually, you'd just be taller. j/k!
the nets have a chance based on the fact that nearly no on picked them to come out of the east, and they were the #1 seed! in every round, they were the underdog! and yet here they are. keep doubting the nets and they'll bring home the title!

lakers suck.

go nets!

Actually, if it were called, the foul would have been on Bibby. A defensive player is not allowed to impede an offensive player who is moving to the ball, unless his feet are set, and his arms are in or straight up. If you look at the play, Bibby is not only moving backwards, but he has his arm wrapped completely around Kobe's body, holding him. Not trying to take sides, just stating the rules.

Cheers,

Eric

That reminds me of a sign a fan was holding up in Arco: HOW DOES A CHIN FOUL AN ELBOW? I hope jason kidd treats the lakers like his wife and beats the hell out of em! This is the year of the underdog. . . Nets in 6

LOL Wil, you must be having NBA withdrawl after MJ sunk that championship shot after he stole the ball from Karl Malone

but man, all the stars have aligned for the Kings to win game 7, and what do they do? shoot < 50% on the free throw and atrocious on 3's, especially peja and christie

man, I hope kenyan martin plays the hardball he's famous for and knock kobe out for the whole series, then we'll see if Fisher, Horry, and Fox still think they're the shietz

true, the rules may state that, but the elbow was pretty flagrant. and even if bibby was tickling kobe's nuts, he wasn't hurting kobe. and from the replay it didn't look like kobe's first priority was "getting to his spot".
i think ref's should be fined by the league for crap like that. you miss a foul, fine that's part of the game. you miss and elbow and now i'm thinking if the ref's have something on the game. human error can be given leeway, but flagrant crap should not go un-seen or un-called. i mean c'mon, they saw webber's first foul of the game (they called him for "pushing off" on a rebound after vlade got hacked on his head...) lol
if players, coaches, and teams and owners can be fined, then why not refs?

I hope neither gets the title, if that possible. I will still doubt the Nets, cuz Western Conference is simply so much better in every way over the East, that is why I project Lakers in 4. I thought Celtics had the chance, but their last three losses, besides Pierce and Walker no one stood up to help them out. They were great as a team of 5, not a team of 2!

Well, I am happy that no one is giving the Nets a chance. Because they will beat the lakers, and shut everyone up for once. I know they will beat the lakers, and I have been rooting for the Nets since day 1. I didn't rub it in when they beat the Celtics, even though I heard a lot of **** entering the series. But why add salt into an open wound. Now my reasoning for the Nets beating LA:
Centers:Shaq easily has the advantage, but the Nets have the depth to at least slow him down.
Power Forward: wITH Kenyon Martin's aggressiveness he will have the advantage over Robert Horry.
Small Forward: Van-Horn over Fox anyday.
Shooting Guard: Kobe has it over Kittles, but once Kittles heats up, he could put in 15 a game.
Point Guard: Kidd is gonna light up anyone Jackson sends at them.
Coach:Jackson over Scott on experience alone.
Bench: Nets players have proved more clutch, and they will light up the lakers.

My prediction:Nets in 6.
