punching in "boston, MA" and "seattle, WA" into my MS Streets and Trips comes up with highway speed set to 75mph says that it should take about 41.5 hours of driving time.

Boston MA to Los Angeles CA: 40.5 hours
Jacksonville FL to Los Angeles CA: 33 hours
Jacksonville FL to Seattle WA: 41.5 hours

figure out the mileage.....then divide it be 60.....if you make decent time while driving.....you can AVERAGE about 60 MPH when figuring in stops and all.......

well I had to look....Boston to LA it says 3045 miles...divide by 60.....it says 50.75 hours.....but the map also has driving times and it says 46 hours....so there is your ball park to work from.

Don't forget you'll be hitting traffic when you get into the big cities along the way. Add about 10 hours to your trip. You can also look for short cuts along the way. If you come across some washed out bridges, you can jump over them to save some time, just don't do it in an 89 Taurus, the wheels will fall off and the car will explode.
