gone

As of saturday the protege is gone. Traded it in. If anyone wants an '03 ES (blue) you will be able to find it at Bob Moore Mazda in OKC. All the mods are still on it.

So...what are you getting now? Oh and BTW, my hubby is the Internet Sales Manager for Bob Moore Mazda :bt:

kargoboy February-6th-2006 11:26 AM

Yeah, what happened? Care to elaborate?

Tracker February-6th-2006 12:17 PM

Any pics?

dudeondacouch February-6th-2006 01:23 PM

No pics... never had a digital camera.

I traded it in at Bob Moore Infinity/Porsche/Audi for a 2004 Xterra SE S/C.
The statement that it will be sold on the Mazda lot is just speculation, but makes good sense.

If anyone is interested it is in Excellent shape Inside and Out. Mod list is in the Garage. Phantom could probly get pics better than I can if she has an insider. It's due for an Oil change, but they may do that at the dealership. Oil used was Mobil1 SuperSyn 5-30 and was changed EVERY 3-4k miles. Only 91+ octane was EVER put in the tank. Except one instance when I had to put in $2 of 89 to get to the next filling station. (was running low and the station I stopped at was out of Premium.)

Nothing was wrong with the car or anything, I was just looking at 4x4s and found the Xterra at a Great price (with every option available). Couldn't pass it up.

Who knows where it will be sold...however, I'm guessing that Scott has access to all Bob Moore inventory...so yeah...I guess I could go check it out.

BobMooreMazda February-6th-2006 02:48 PM

I have the vehicle in stock. It will be sent through service for safety inspection and the oil change. We should have pics up this week.

It looks like the mods were done right on this car and it will be sold that way. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Roddimus Prime February-6th-2006 03:21 PM

^ is this Scott? I hope so.

Let's all say "HI" to BobMooreMazda :bt:

BobMooreMazda February-6th-2006 03:24 PM

Yep. This is Scott. I didn't want to use my personal screen name. That way it is legit when I surf at work. hehehe :bt:

Phantom Cruiser February-6th-2006 04:16 PM

You mean it's not legit to surf at work  LOL

Roddimus Prime February-6th-2006 04:29 PM

awesome. I was just hoping it wasn't a random salesman trying to get free advertising! We get a lot of that.

We love supporting our members who are salesman but not supporting salesmen who just wanna drop their business cards and leave!

Scott, You ok with the fact that Karen is our lead scrumpet here? She's mostly faithful so don't worry about that! hahaha

dudeondacouch February-7th-2006 07:00 AM

They also have a REALLY nice, REALLY red MS6. (that they would not let me test drive.)

Those bastages! :cookoo:

I got to [finally] test drive a MS Miata (at Bob Moore), it was Velociraptor Red....it was definitely faster than my Miata that's for sure...but it also felt very "heavy" to me. Fun though, but I don't need any more car payments at this point in time. Those new Miatas (06s) seem really BIG when you get up close to them. I mean a lot bigger than the NA that I'm used to. :bt:

BobMooreMazda February-7th-2006 08:52 AM

They are usually pretty strict when it comes to the MazdaSpeed test drives but if anyone is serious, they need to talk with me. There are only two people allowed to sell them in the dealership. I am one of those people.

The Plug wires are not still on the car. They were low quality (by my standards) and did not hold up well. The stock plug wires are on the car now.

The Subs/Amp also are not in the car. The pioneer 6x9's however, are still installed.

And yes, OBX header.

EDIT: Almost forgot. One of the CF mirror covers got knocked off at the carwash. It is currently in the trunk with the extra set of floormats and the lugnut wrench/adapter (spline drive). Note, however, that the spare and jack are NOT there. (a fellow mazda owner who was in a bind borrowed them and then did a disappearing act.) :madfawk:

Were your Sparkco wires "1st generation"? Mine original set was and they came apart. I sent them back and they sent me a new set with no questions asked. When the new set came they had a little different style to them (probably so they woudn't fall apart). :buttslay:

dudeondacouch February-7th-2006 01:43 PM

perhaps they were. I tossed them out. (mostly on the premise that if the first set fell apart, I didn't really want a replacement.) It only happened a few weeks ago, but I had the wires for over a year.

pass the peas February-7th-2006 10:30 PM

I think the dealer will be required by law to replace the cats before they can sell the car.

dudeondacouch February-8th-2006 08:14 AM

i'm not sure... we have no emissions laws here in OK.

w00T! :bt:

BobMooreMazda February-8th-2006 09:59 AM

I was wondering about the header. It is coming out of service today and going to detail. Should be ready to go soon. I was suprised how strong the engine felt in this car. It definitely runs well.

dudeondacouch February-10th-2007 01:15 PM

Did anyone ever buy my car?
