First Day with my second car! ~Se-R power
Wow, i finally picked up my 1993 Nissan Sentra Se-R yesterday, as it had been in their service department for a while. But it was damn worth it! heck it only has about twice the miles as my p5 now (13444 on the p5, 31200 on the Se-R) the paint is flawless (we cant decide what color, i think its gunmetal, some say grey) but its beautiful. The interior rocks! its flawless as the whole car is, and the seats RULE! so good of support its not funny, you take a corner and you dont move! Interior wise it rules, the air is freezing cold, and the stereo rocks minus its a damn stock tape deck (thats not what rocks) the speakers is what im talking about, it has clarions all around (not bad at all!). I swear i cant find anything i dis-like about the car, hell everytime i mess with it, i find more i like (such as front and rear sway bars, 4 wheel discs, lots of power all over the whole 7500rpm range, 62mph in 2nd gear) its just a beautiful car, and it looks nice too.
Im soo happy, $4600 later, i have a nicer car than all my car buddies, and still have a brand new p5 in my driveway next to i that i paid for also..... two beautys that i own, does it get anybetter? being 17 who knows how this all has worked out, but how ever im glad. two cars+17y.o.=
ill have pics up soon, once i get off my *** and make them small enough for you 56k'ers

its kinda sick, im babying this car more than my p5 now.... thatll change. but seriously, my p5 has been sitting in the garage all weekend just collecting dust.... ohh i love my se-r. its beautiful.
ive gotten more comments this weekend about it than my p5 has for quite a while, im confused lol. but having two cars kicks soo much ***, especially at the age i am. and being able to show that you have worked hard to get them is even better.
but, im working on getting my pictures on here, im just having some probs getting ahold of them

well you gotta keep in mind i work way too much, right now i think its close to 55 hours a week. hell, as i speak im sitting in the studio watching the guys finish up for the day, as i sit here because my job has been done for a good long time
but yes, i have gotten lucky, and gotten my self two nice cars. but alot else in my life suffers, to a certain extent, thankfully my girl excepts this and lives only seeing me late at night or in the mornings, and then sundays is OUR day. but along with that i dont get to cruise with my guys, or do all the mods i wish i could. but oh well...
life is all good! and if you guys head this way sometime, feel free to give me a holla....lol we can take the Se-R and the P5 out and woop some civic ***!
speaking of which, ive beat basically everyone that i have lost racing to in my Se-R

Congrats!
Most excellent, dude!
As I've said in other posts, I used to have a '91 Sentra XE 2 dr.-- It of course wasn't nearly as fast or well equipped as the SE-R, but I still enjoyed many years of ownership.
Just for your reference, here's a list of things that went wrong with my Sentra back in the day:
#The stock stereo unit's cassette mechanism died after about 8 years of use. I replaced it with an aftermarket CD player.
#All of the instrument cluster lights burned out and had to be replaced. (That one pissed me off)
#The speedometer cable broke and had to be replaced.
#Developed a crank case seal leak (common to the GA16DE engines, I understand. I'm not sure about your SR20DE, though).
#Interior Fan control failed and wouldn't operate at any speed except fastest.
#Had to replace the the CV boots (pretty normal for a car at 100k miles, though)#Cruise control failed. (I never fixed it)
#After just 2 years the clutch developed a spring squeak that the dealership NEVER fixed; even after 3 returns to get the job done. I gave up on it and just lived with the annoying noise. Didn't effect operation of the clutch, though.
#Suspention developed a crunching noise when going over larger bumps. Even after replacing the struts, it continued. I just lived with it and didn't try anything else.
On the other hand, here are a few other good things about my old Sentra:
#Still had the original clutch at 113k miles.
#The original A/C was still working when I sold the car at 113k miles and 10 years of ownership.
#Still had the original timing chain (although I don't recommend waiting that long!).
#All other equipment-- wipers, power outside mirrors, manual windows, lock mechanisms, etc., never failed once.
Overall I thought it was a good car, and I'm sure your SE-R will be at least the same.
Sweet car!

I had two SE-Rs: a '93 automatic the same color, and a '94 Ruby Pearl 5 speed - that one topped out at 131 MPH, stock. The 7,500 RPM redline was great cause I'd usually take anybody I ran with one less shift then them. The LSD was a nice touch in just about any weather, and like you've said - the seats are great. Congratulations!

lol i know, i got freaky lucky to get this car! had a friend that was a dealer keep a look out for a car, for me, and he found this car the next week... one owner, low miles, traded in to buy a new Se-R Spec V (haha, sucker, his old car was faster, lol).... can it get much better for me? he dropped the price 1k and i bought her. nothin like writing a nice big check and getting a nice *** car.
anyways, im gettin a set of yokohamas for her next week (45 bucks each new on tire rack, so i said ok since the tires are bald) and eventually she will be mounted with 16 inch Rota Sub-zeros in bronze, and lowered a tad with a stillen body kit.
oh i cant wait, this is gonna be my project car instead of my p5 i think.
