My first car is my current 99 pro! I got it like six months ago from my step sister with a bad ECU, brakes, spark plug wires, and 77,000 miles....

car
My first car was a 1987 Thunderbird Turbocoupe, 5-speed. It had an upgraded turbo and boost controller, intake and exhaust, and 3.73's. It was awsome, didn't handle great but it was stupid fast.
I wish my protege was that fast. Oh well.

Mine was an 86 Ford Tempo -- the classic economy family car. Biggest piece of **** I've ever driven, it cost me $300 and lasted about 9 months. I had to roll it down the hill just to get it to the dealer to get rid of it.

my first car, (signature and av picture) technically, was a 97 mitsu 3000gt. I only had my permit and would whip around illegaly in my dads 1988 Ford f150, in which i learned to drive stick. But the 3000gt only cost me and my parents about 6 grand (income taxes) with problems up the ying yang. The front driver side corner of the bumper was ravaged, engine had been SATURATED in oil, there was no radio/speakers, the downpipe was nearly clamped shut, the wheels needed alignment badly, the passenger window had been broken and replaced with a black garbage bag, the upholstery had cigarette burns and tears and the interior was trashed and reaked of cat ****. I couldn't believe how someone could do something so bad to a car so beautiful. It was almost like it was stolen and vandalized. I wasn't able to drive it until I got my license at the time. Until the cosmetic problems were fixed, me and some friends would put up the canvas in the back yard over the car and work on it, rain or sunshine. 2 1/2 years later, it's a beast with 80k miles on the clock and ******* flawless. But since its rebirth, I've been paranoid driving it without insurance. Too expensive, I'm a guy and I'm only 19. You do the math. Now its sitting on long hill road in the Stop n shop parking lot with a for sale sign on it. In the middle of the rebuilding process, I bought my little protege DX as a beater. With time and money, I intend to do the same with my little pro. But for now its just a rice rocket.

Those 3000CC engines will last you a lifetime. I trust that engine with my life. My Stealth ES has 163k on it, and the alt just went on it, but thats the only mechanical money I've had to spend on the car in over 2 years. It starts better than my MP5, my dad's Stang (w/ 53k). It's an amazing car.

My first was an '87 Mercury Topaz (POS) that my mom picked out for me. Had it for less than a year before a broken motor mount took out the whole transmission. I had a choice between that and a 70's Malibu with a 350, of course I wanted the Malibu but got vetoed. After that cratered I went and picked out my own damn Ranger, then got the F-150, then got the Mazda, sold the Ranger, and bought a Honda. My favorite purchase was the F-150, the 351W has a lot of tuning potential once you get all of the emissions crap off (it only makes 170HP stock with it on, from 5.8L of displacement! EPA!!).
