Even though my religion is against it, I believe that no one deserves a second chance if they kill a person. When I see kids who shoot each other, it gives me chills to find out that they are not penalized for their actions. A quick slap on their wrist and they are back into the public.

Because of this loose end in the law system, many adults try to coerce kids to perform horrendeous acts of violence, because they know in the end that the kid can claim that he or she is a juvenile...I believe that if you can pull a trigger, then someone can else can pull the switch as you fry...I may sound harsh, but I believe that this needs to be done to create a more realistic way of life. No one should be able to get away with murder.

Hell yeah, i agree with capital punishment, only I don't believe it should be humane in some cases. Like if a perv kidnaps a little kid and kills them they should find some crazy type of torture for him, like hanged, drawn and quartered, if you don't know what this is you probably don't want to know.

For straight up murder, I could go with the electric chair or lethal injection, i guess, but I am a major fan of killing some one the way they killed the person they killed. ie. if shoot someone you should be shot, and if the victim suffered, the criminal should suffer just as long.

I guess you could say I am somewhat of an extremist, but I say look at the world today and the things that are happening and try not to be disgusted.

stealing batteries is nothing...if you pull out a glock because you enjoy the thrill of pointing, shooting and killing...you have some problems...and I do not believe in the insanity plea...you made yourself pull the trigger no one else...so burn baby burn....

I think that death penalty in Washington is Lethal Injection...they ruled out hanging because they thought that it was to cruel...

Do you believe that a death row inmate tried to get out of the death penality by overeating and gaining an enormous amount of weight...he stated that it would be cruel to hang him because his head would pop off...I have no sympathy for him considering that he killed many individuals for his sick pleasure...so they just gave him lethal injection...that took care of it...

Or else they can start the game show "The Running Man."

death penalty sucks, but hey, sometimes you gotta pay the price for your nautiness. hmmm, if it's a clear-cut case, there shouldn't be any waiting either. y'know like those 10-15 yrs on death row...wtf??? they should kill them, but not tell them when. you know? like "hey there, you're gonna get it next week" and then come in like two days later and say "oops, your # got pulled early! lucky bastard!" and be real funny about it.

I'm glad so many of you think the same way I do. I think people should definately be killed for horrible crimes, and not any of this 20 years on death row before they're executed too... If they're convicted, kill them the next week or something.

no....

If someone killed someone else I don't think they should get the death penalty. Why you say. Because I think that person should suffer in jail and be treated like **** for the rest of his life...think about it, if he is killed what happens to him, his life is over, and there is no misery for him. If he suffers in jail he'll know what he did and know that what he did was stupid, and now he is paying for it!

and if osama bin laden was ever caught...here is what i would do...

1) put handcuffs, legcuffs, and neckcuffs
2) shoot both his feet
3) throw him in a small tiny cell prision
4) feed him once a day
5) make him walk far distances with his feet shot
6) every year shoot his feet again
7) continue steps 1-6

Sad. Its rare that you can ever be absolutely sure that you are executing the right person. I would rather that person live in prison (where all of the overcrowding seems to be drug users these days, also sad) and have a chance to be cleared some day in the future.

I can't support the death penalty in Texas. Its application is racially biased. Good luck dodging the death penalty if you are poor and from a minority group. You will get the desperate to work attorney who is helping you and the twenty other people the court assigned him. Do you really think a person that you are not paying will be acting in your best interest?

If you want the death penalty to be a TRUE deterrent to crime, it NEEDS to be PUBLIC and TELEVISED.

It won't help everyone, but for sure at leat one or two mofukkers will think twice if they see what it looks like.

And down with "soft" capital punishment, also. Bring back the rack, boiling people in oil, and my personal favorite (don't know the "official" name) - the one where they'd tie a guy to four different horses (one on each arm and leg) and then slap them ponies, make them run away, and rip the guy to pieces - man, the old days were FUN!

But I am serious about the public execution thing - let's see it. Then maybe it'll mean something.

Nope, no to the death penalty.

Like kc5zom, I agree that it is often unequally applied...usually dependent on race and/or socio-economic status.

And here in IL, the governor instituted a moratorium on exectutions because so many folks on death row were found to be innocent.

I agree that for citizens to kill one another is heinous, but so is stooping to their level. And that's what the death penalty is.

Stooping to their level.
