Great shoes. I use to have a pair of red ones. Nice narrow and simple design. The narrow width of the shoe and the thiness of the sole make it perfect for driving.

i think you two are talking about different footware. anyway sandles and flip flops are different. flip flops i could maybe do good in. but not sandles.

I gotta drop my $0.02 if you want really great driving shoes "small shoes" then you gotta take a look at montain climbing shoes. they go on tight and are very narrow and have great traction on the soles.

well guys....IF we are talking about the ORIGINAL canvas basketball shoe...they YES they rule....I have had at least one pair for wear ever since I was in Jr. Highschool...and let me tell ya...that is a LONG TIME!! LOL.....I wore them way before they ever became a fad and were made in all the different colors...

the pair I have now are just the standard white canvas...but they are sprotin BRIGHT YELLOW laces to match the ride. :{D

oh and BTW....just in case you didn't know...up until THIS year those shoes were made IN THE U.S.A. but NOW they aren't....converse has farmed the work out overseas.

YES!!! Chuck Taylor's... Converse All-stars. I have always had a pair as well. And you can't beat them. I've tried... I've beaten the crap out of several pairs.

I find it best to keep two pairs of Chuck's on hand. I have a pair that's passable in a public scene, and then I have the pair that goes in the water at the boat launch, mows the lawn, paints, etc. When-ever my good pair gets a little on the grimey side, I get a new pair, and then throw away my grungy pair.

Funny thing is... I've never owned a black pair. I got mostly for red.

I like the low-tops too.

I almost bought an all black pair. It reminded me of the all black vans (the original style) that I used to wear while riding BMX bikes. I may still get 'em cuz they are confortable for just lounging around.
I think I'm going back to get 'em.

Too funny, I use them too. Three pairs, black, green red. I have Razo Ti pedals and they grip great. I used to use them when I was drumming. (low tops)
