for $12,000 he can buy a Civic Si which is DOHC Vtec. You shouldn't pay more than $8,000 for it, After all it is 4 years old and only a DX. Should pay less than that, but it all depends where you are at. Tell him to try and get his hands on an Si, he will be much happier.
