Angry Bad Bad Bad News!~!~!~

So I am driving down a very quiet road in my little town goin about 35mph hour with a cig in my mouth about to light it, Im riding on my only 3 wk old 18 inch rims, new injen intake, new taillights, and full exhaust, not to mention stereo, and my mp3 bodykit which just got finished on thursday when all of a sudden a old POS Chevy blazer flys thru a stop sign at about 40mph and slams into my front passenger fender almost directly on that rim, well needless to say my car is TOTALED. the place where the headlight once sat now sits about 9inches from the windshield.
Then they pull out 2 beer bottles that were empty and a full 12 pack in the back seat STILL COLD, then preceed to tell me that he is driving on a suspended license and HAS NO INSURANCE!!!. So i am now awaiting to hear frmo my insurance company on Monday to see what I can and cant take off my car....But this is my sob story and I went to look for a new car today....ANY TIPS??

The drunk had empty beer bottles in his vehicle, driving without insurance and was driving with his license suspended. Why do manual labor by beating his *** when all you have to do is dial 9-1-1? Jail birds in prison would love to "beat his ***" for you for sure.

Hey buddy here is what u do. If u have ur old rims put them on. if u have your old tail lights put them on. Put ur car back to as stock as u can,....because ull never see the money that u put into it. take out ur system, jus make sure u put the old headunit back in. the exhaust they will refund u
mostlikly 3/4's money for body kit. but take ur intak off also. they never look under the hood.
sorry.

i had this happen to my old car, a guy slammed into the back of my 84 Buick, and tottalled the ****
that night, i went out and ripped my whole system out. and they still gave me $2k for an old pos car W/NO RADIO. but that was in my case.

Hope it works out for ya!!

Well I guess that is a good reason to keep your orinigal parts when you replace them with aftermarket. I'll be sure to do that.

Sorry to hear about the pro Bro.

Dude, sorry to hear that

I was going to follow your plan of making a first Black Mica MP3 (I remember yours is green)....

Try and get everything out of it and then get a beater until the turbo Protege comes out

Sorry to burst you bubble a second time, but I talked to the guys at Mazda South in Texas, and they already transformed a Black ES into an MP# look a like.

Thumbs down

Dope! That sucks big time. Yeah I guess just take whatever you can from your exisiting car, and get another Pro!

Or like someone else said, wait for the Turbo pro, who knows what that will look like, but if you can throw what you have on that (if it doesn't come already looking shweet) then you'll have a shweet looking turbo Pro!

Not tryin to start anything but the whole part of customizing a car is making it custom to what u like, so some people like the body on the mp3, and they add the bodykit like i did, but i wanted to get a different exhaust, rims, spoiler, stuff like that, not to mention i couldnt get the mp3 thru the mazda first time buyers program, so i got an es and made myself what i think was the first Seabreeze Green Mica Mp3, plus I had the joy of sayin I DID IT. It didnt come from the dealership like that. Anyways im not waiting on the turbo pro, I actually went down and order a Nissan SER Spec V. Its no Protege but a pretty nice car, but deep down I will always love my Mazda. Unfortunately the only pictures I got of my car was after it was wrecked, since it happend so quickly after I got all the stuff done.

Dude, that's harsh man... They're drunk, un-insured, and on a suspended lisence. I'd sue 'em... That's right, SUE. You could score big time here man. Get yourself a Nissan and a new Protege. Hell, if you score enough, you might just be able to convince Mazda to make you #1501...

new car now

Thanx everyone for the support, I am awaiting the guys arraignment on April 9th which then I will have to bring up all money lost, and pain and suffering and the works u know. But I did get a new car I got a 2002 Nissan Sentra Spec V, overall great car lots of power, only thing I havent gotten used to is the 6 speed tranny, but thatll take some time. I love beating up on the Hondas that tried me in the pro, and they still give me that same look "I just got beat by a 4 door"

Thanx for all the support and I will maintain a tru Pro lover

By the way I have a Strut Tower Brace, Altezza taillights, and a gauge cluster for sale to whomever is interested. Email me at InfinityProtege@aol.com

I'm about to get a 1st-gen Protege to replace my beloved '93 MX-3 GS Special Edition that got totaled in January. I went through some of the same issues, so I can tell you to definitely talk to the insurance adjuster about taking things off the car. The standard that I got (from my Farmers guy) was that if the car would normally need a part to be drivable, it would have to stay; anything else could go. I did not ask him about swapping parts, but I'd guess he'd be amenable to the idea.

Good luck, and I can definitely share my sympathy.

I was involved in a hit and run on my 2001 Kawasaki ZX6R Ninja and the insurance company looked at the police report and filed it under uninsured motorist. I had to pay a $250 deductable (the bad part) and then they paid a little over $6K to fix the bike. I also got all my lost wages, medical bills and also got $3K worth of "pain and suffering". I didn't even ask for the "pain and suffering" money. He just offerd me an extra $3K. I was happy to take the money off his hands, but I miss my bike. I traded it in on the Protege5.
