Auto Modellista...
Did anyone get this game yet??? I couldn't wait to pick it up today from EB...I should be doing hw but screw that, all I've been doing is racing :D. Here are some screen shots, you can have up to 30 different cars, no need to buy and crap, but you win races to get new cars and more tune ups etc. You even get to design your own garage. Tell me what you think. This is my Mazda 6 Protege Club Edition...since there wasn't a Pro, I had to improvise. The graphics are SWEET! Also the courses are cool cause you get circuit races and dorifito tracks, the best part: they have Initial D stages (I think it was Akina) for drifting...

got it!
I heard it has the first gen RX-7! :)
It has all three gens BTW...and yeah got it and finished the Single Player mode by midnight...now I have all this coo shiat to screw with...its so sweet I can't wait to customize my garage some more...soo...addicted...BTW whoever has the Network Adaptor, we HAVE to race and make our own mazda or whatever club... hehehehehehehhehehehe... the RX-8 handles really well, really good for the akagi downhill/uphill race...its sooooo cooooo!!! More pics tomorrow Im tired...
Tomorrow I'm gonna get an adapter and smoke you! :p
yeah im gonna get it too so we could battle some
I was so pissed yesterday because I couldn't find a review of it anywhere online (the US version, anyway). Is it really worth the $50? I also have a network adapter, we'll have to race if I get it.
Midnight Club II is also looking very nice, I think it's coming out April 8th. |
I played the Japanese version at my friends house once. It looked very cartoonish and the control was unrealistic, unlike GT3. However, I liked the track layouts, some of them based on twisty mountain roads in Japan, featured in Initial D also.
The downhill run was somewhat fun, unfourtunately it wasn't as fun as Battle Gear. |
Its sooooo worth it...we can have a huge online race hehehehe, then we can see whos better...cuz you know all youll be seeing of me is the back of my car :D . We can have up 2 8 players in a race...We should seriously start a racing group online and destroy everyone!
going to pick it up this wed.
Just picked it up today ... still at work ... can't wait to get home and play it !!
muhahaha!! finished the game last night and unlocked all cars and garage stuff this morning...
That looks sooooo sweet. I definately gotta get me a copy when I get back from the field in May. Oh, I can't wait...
Is this game for GC, PS2 or X-Box? I've heard about it and have seen some videos but I never bothered to see for what console it was.
PS2
PS2
Aaaahhhh !! :o My PS2 won't recognize my new USB network adapter. It worked fine with the old one. Crap .... |
AHHHH stupid network adaptor, keeps disconnecting me from "lobby network" and "err803" when im in races...GAY
I should be 5-0, but nooo stupid screw ups im at 5-7 |
That network adapter sounds pretty cool, how well does this game play online? is it smooth? (please list what internet conection you're using)
Its real smooth...when it decides to work for me!!! And I use cable BTW. Your are only allowed Broadband connections tho...
yeah the network adaptor works very smooth if you have cable or dsl i run it on t3 and it runs perfect
I beat it cuz I spent the whole night on it...just so I could get the cars, you kinda buy the game for the online capabilities. Its fun to race friends and others rather than the computer. BTW ne1 out there want to race??? Still unbeaten online!! (minus the 7 times I got disconnected without racing and counted me as a loss)
damn i feel like buying it already. . . i already had plans 2 buy that a while back, but now that it's out i dunno i cant get myself 2 spend on a game yet, even though that will be the next ps2 game i will buy. there's just so many things that tempt me 2 spend on, auto modellista. . .the car. . . hockey. . .guitar. . . i just cant decide haha. plus i'd still need 2 pick up the network adapter when i do get it. that's about $90 right there damn haha
finally im getting mines today cant wait to battle online :D :D :D :D
if you want to know more about the game or any game go to ps2.ign.com the have reviews, articles, pics and videos about any freaking game. sorry i got a little excited :D
I just bought my copy last night, it's a really fun game. I hate the drifting physics though, you slide sideways and come to just about a dead stop and then you putt off in a straight line. It's very disapointing that a anime-looking racing game doesn't allow for better drifting. Especially with the uphill/downhill races, you NEED to set your car up for grip ++ otherwise you've be left in the dust hardcore.
How many level's are there on garage mode? I'm into level 4 after one sitting, I hope there are at least 10 levels. [edit] Oh yea, and no analog gas/brakes is freaking stupid as all hell. It's either full throttle or nothing. Weak! |
Originally posted by protege52nr 7 levels including final stage...Stage 5 I believe has 4 city races with 3 laps each, and then Stage 6 has 4 hill climb and down hill races (up and down rokko and up and down akagi) and the final stage has 7 races, one being the dirt track, all city races until the final which is Suzuka. BTW make sure you complete all the tasks in the race. I found that for some of them I had to beat it a 2nd time to get the secret car or other stuff. If you have finished the requirements, it will say complete... But yea, other than that, it's ridiculous.... under 4 hours of gameplay and I'm basically finished with the game. Still fun, though :) Oh yea, kudos to capcom for including the Shelby Cobra... MMMMM, coolest car ever! :D |

Well I'm just about finished single player. Only with the controller so far. I hope the physics improve when using a wheel! WRC was that way. Crappy controller response but good when using a wheel.
Still haven't got online .. next week I hope ... |

Logitech "Driving Force" wheel
I saw some awesome wheels and pedals by a British company in an old edition of RallyXS mag .. but I forget the name of the company! Everything was metal and leather ... |
The Logitech Momo Wheel is leather wrapped and has Momo pedals...theres a company that makes and actual gearbox, I think it has 6 and reverse...
It's about a waste to use a set of pedals on this game, digital throttle and brake sucks hard! :(

ahhh the wheel does nothing!
Still, the only game that uses the wheel, analog buttons, and force feedback correctly is GT3. sucks. I have a new network adapter now so .. time to try it online tonight. Maybe that will make up for the lack of a real physics engine ;) |
Ahhhh ... those lazy Capcom bastards!
It will not recognize anything but the official Sony Network adapter. WTF. Every other game so far with online capabilities has worked with USB adapters ( Tony Hawk 3, SOCOM .. ) Not amused |
