The original ones ('68-73) are the ones I am talking about. Both my gf and I lusted after one when we were younger, and I have been looking. One of my younger brothers had one for a while that he was going to restore but he lost interest. He couldn't tell me much as he didn't get too deep into it. I have found what appears to be a very good forum, and a good place for parts. Just wondering if someone on here might have some first-hand experience they can impart.

I too have a lifedream of owning and restoring/upgrading one....too poor to do it now though. Just do me a favor and take lots of pics of your progress!

 

I already have too many irons in the fire to take on a resto. If I do buy one it will be in decent shape. There have been several on eBay the last few months that were in good shape. I am ready to jump on one, but my gf (voice of reason) wants to hold off a bit until we get some things paid off. However, if the new job I am hoping for pans out then I should be able to get one sooner.
