dude you want to see some crazy SHYT!! they came out with a kit for the focus that gives it 450 horse and is .03 sec faster in the quarter mile for 0 - 60. if i can ill scan the article and put it on here for you guys to look at its sick man thats one fast *** ford but the stupid thing is it would cost a focus fan $110,000 thats including the car but the bad *** thing is that its got a conversion to rear wheel drive ill see what i can do about scanning it i left the motor trend mag at work today and its this months mag i think if not last months.......

Yeah, the Focus V-8 RWD conversion has been a pretty popular swap for awhile now. I'm not sure how many have actually completed it, but I seen several videos of them, definitely looks like a fun car!

I'd just be happy for AWD, forged internals and decent ECU tuning. Screw that sloppy V8 weight distribution. Give me 25psi on a T3 and I'm more than happy.

there's a car for everything in my family....straight-line drag racing, twisty-turny road courses, sittin' low lookin' pretty, and the parts runner! (we are still lacking a TOW vehicle though )

the V8 conversions actually make the focus MORE balanced...it's the excessive wheelspin you have to worry about

p.s. we had turbo + nitrous for 325fwhp and 363tq and it just wasn't "enough"

I bet Scott was the one who said "let's throw a V8 in there and be done with it". If it were me I'd keep throwing boost and juice at it until it blows a crater in the earth!

I did see how the Motorsports kit improved weight balance (and no knock to you) but that was a large team of professional engineers working closely with Ford to design that kit. A LOT of time and money went into theirs. I'm still rooting for you Karen!!

So what's the suspension mods...from what I understand it takes some serious springs to keep those wheels on the pavement

Yep, boys....

"let's cut big holes in the car and throw money in there!"

The kit is all from Kugel Komponents. We are using a rearend from a Thunderbird (because it had the same bolt pattern as the Focus and disc brakes).

oh yeah, Kugel was the first one to mass produce the kit weren't they! I read about their focus probably 2 years ago. Good stuff.
