If its just the muffler, then we will need a pipe the same size as his stock pipe. What size is the inlet on the muffler? I am sure its bigger than the stock pipe, so we will also need a pipe that goes from stock size to muffler size, enlarger. A new seal for the flange when remove the exhaust pipe. I will check on the welder on monday.

Hey, guys! I know that most of you are going to be busy tomorrow, but I will be auto-crossing. I won't bring my pro though, because they will stick me again into STS, and even with my cone, I am still greatly underpowered. Therefore, I am going to take Chevy Malibu. That thing handles well, and has plenty of low-end torque. Aren't all american mid-size sedan? Anyhow, I hope I can win something tomorrow.

You will also need the hangers that support the muffler. If I was you I would try to find a junk yard to get the rear muffler system so we can cut the old muffler off and add the new on to it that way you can retain the stock muffler to put back on for any number of reasons. Ben I am working the 1st shift, and get out of work around 3pm

Car

Hey JRIZZLE,
You may have had the problem of installing your muffler...lol but at least your muffler is better than mine..I have a nice VIP special Raptor exhaust. It sounds throaty when you don't have a tip on it, but I put an oval tip on it and it sounds like an autocross car....haha.

Hey Ben, have you seen a black LX protege in portland lately? A guy came up here his name was Chris, he had a black protege with an exhaust, wing, intake, and a pretty nice set of ground effects.

I'm outta here,
Later

I was very wrong about the handeling capabilities of Malibu. It is powerful none the less and quick off the line, but it was way too heavy for corners. I think I would have been better off in my Pro. It was held in OOB high school lot, and there a few nice cars. 427 Shelby Cobra (not sure if it was a kit), 911 Carrera, Camaro Z28SS, Subaru WRX, and others. I did talk to an older guy that was racing his 323, and it sounded like he had a turbo in it. I talked to him about joining, and he said that he will take a look at our chapter. Though I am done autocrossing this year. I will do it again next year, once I have my exhaust and springs, and one day, maybe sway bars.
P.S. This is my 500th post, and no, I am NOT a post-*****.

Hey J
Don't worry about the muffler, we can take care of you. I am sure we can figure something out. I work on airplanes, and work with metal. So I have all the knowledge to do this.
So the Malibu didn't do to hot. I had my doubts, because its a family sedan. Its not set up for auto-x. Its made to have a nice ride, nice and smooth.
Ben we can get together anytime this week, execpt on monday. Give me a call. I am going to call the hobby shop about the welder in the AM

Depending on what we need to do, I am guessing a couple of hours at the most. I am done at work at 330pm so we can do it after work one day or we can try for saturday. I might have to work on saturday. I won't find out till the end of the week. So if you want to zip up here to Brunswick on day durring the week that would be fine. I have a child birth class I have to go to on Wensday with the wife, so Thursday is good. Check your PM's for my cell phone number. Ben are you going to try to make it?

We can try for this thursday. Do you know where the base is? We can meet somewhere around the base and go to the auto shop. If this works then lets do this.
