Mazdaspeed Muffler
Brembo slotted/drilled rotors with oem pads (apprx 75% life left)

Car is expected to dyno about 180whp on 4.5psi or about 200whp on 6psi. Final numbers will be posted when the SC kit is re-installed. Car is in immaculate shape and has no dents/dings/scratches. It's driven only about 7-10 miles a day. I will have the car professionally detailed prior to selling for new owner. This is really a one-of-a-kind car.

Asking price is $14,500

AS-IS asking price is $11.500

According to Edmunds.com Private party value on this vehicle in "excellent" condition is $12.770. I would rate the car in good condition but there is several thousand dollars of mods alreay on the car.

I know everyone here will already have a mazda of some sort but I figure you could help spread the word. I'm going to be listing it on several websites in the next few days.

pm me or email perrymuk@bellsouth.net with any questions.

Jackelope October-31st-2005 04:09 PM

spread'n the word... :)

Roddimus Prime October-31st-2005 04:40 PM

sweet. I think I wont get any takers from the forums but I'll put it on cars.com or ebay and it'll sell pretty quick. I think I'm being very fair on the price considering the low mileage and the mods. I know other 5spd p5's in this are with 40k+ miles sell for $12-14K and don't have any of the options of this one.

crushedbumper28 October-31st-2005 05:19 PM

i'd buy it if i had the money! i want another protege so i can get rid of the explorer we have! i hate it, plus it doesnt have ac either lol. plus i need a car to put my hood on! theres a secret about my hood. lol i need to talk to my mom or someone about a loan.

JDM-P5 October-31st-2005 06:39 PM

Save for the MS3!!

Roddimus Prime October-31st-2005 07:34 PM

ms3 = too little too late. I need/want something a little bigger, a little classier, a little less "boy-toy".

The MS6 I sat in today was drop dead gorgeous. You'll see.

JDM-P5 November-1st-2005 07:53 AM

Word.

D_Roc1320 November-2nd-2005 09:17 AM

yeah matty, you are being extremely fair on the price. I would buy it if I had the money, but unforunately I dont. Sorry dude. I can't believe your selling it though. I'm still trying to get the one I have paid off. Well if someones wants it without the SC Kit you know where to find me. Either that or I will just have to wait for the new kit to come out. I've realized that I'm not the most patient person in the world lol. But its all good, I know it will be awesome when its all said and done. Good luck.

Roddimus Prime November-24th-2005 12:44 AM

I want to add that I'm in a GB for a new Intake manifold and possibly a new AWR baffled oil pan as well. If these go on the car the price will go up probably another $500 or so. Both great pieces to have and will really help complete the package.

Roddimus Prime November-28th-2005 04:57 PM

ok so, current circumstances have changed. It looks like I won't be buying the MS6 after all. I quit my job today and until I know more about my financial situation I'm just going to sell the P5 and drive the SHO or scooter until I can afford to buy a new toy.

$11,500 as-is with all mods (no blower)

$14,500 w/ blower and full tune.

Jackelope November-29th-2005 05:37 AM

doh! so... u really did quit... "take this job and shove it..."

JDM-P5 November-29th-2005 07:50 AM

You quit? Damn....

Roddimus Prime November-29th-2005 09:22 AM

told my boss to bite my dick. so anyway.....cars for sale.

JDM-P5 November-29th-2005 09:32 AM

Are you serious? Damn...you've got balls bro.....we'll have to chat on AIM about that...lol.
Well, at least Kendra will be bringing in the bacon soon and you can stay home and raise the kittays....Mr. Mom.

Jackelope November-29th-2005 09:37 AM

^ what I was thinking.. but if you aint happy... you aint happy... no use in staying if you CAN leave :)

Roddimus Prime November-29th-2005 10:51 AM

it's not smooth sailing for me. I'm going to be running lean and mean for a while. I need to sell the p5 so I can take that extra payment and put it towards other bills or savings.

Jackelope November-29th-2005 10:55 AM

i'll point anyone looking for a car your way :)

mattsstang87 November-29th-2005 02:35 PM

I can't believe that you will be gone. :(

Roddimus Prime November-29th-2005 02:38 PM

i didn't say I was going anywhere. Just changing cars. I do that a lot.

mattsstang87 November-29th-2005 02:51 PM

Are you going to sell the blower with the car?

Jackelope November-29th-2005 03:35 PM

:bounce:

Roddimus Prime November-29th-2005 05:50 PM

yeah, I'm a little sad because I see stock P5's with less options and double the mileage selling for $14K off lots.

I'm just trying to make my life a little easier until I'm making more money again. Maybe this will kick-start me into opening my own garage sooner.

D_Roc1320 November-30th-2005 12:20 AM

well good luck with everything matty. That sucks about your job. We are kinda in the same boat. I kinda quit one of my jobs the other day as well, yesterday to be exact. I know how that goes. But its good, thats what having 2 jobs was for lol. This is prolly a really stupid question, so feel free to snap all over my ass for it. Not that its all I care about, but im guessing the SC Kits arent going to be coming out anytime in the near future then are they?? Or maybe if you have everything for them, you can make a living off of those for a lil while. Hey its just a thought. And about the car, I really would buy the car right now. But im kinda already in a loan right now, and have stuff on my car that cant be taken off. But if i find anyone who is looking for a car I will definitly send them your way. That price is insane, i mean seriousely. Selling your car for that cheap, quitting your job. What the hell is wrong with you matty lol. Good luck on everything and if you need you decide to start your own shop much luck with that. I know id be repeat customer. Later.

You cant open a garage until you move to Georgia.... :bt:

No, western PA!
I can't do all this sh!t myself!

Roddimus Prime November-30th-2005 11:30 AM

quitting my job has no effect on the SC kits in any forseeable way. I'm doing the SC stuff as a side job. It was not my full time income.

Gary, I've been to PA and all that cold white stuff everywhere was odd. Until you guys can prevent your streets from being covered with it I'm going to be a southern boy.

Jackelope November-30th-2005 01:44 PM

I Win :shooter:

and to put ic'n on the cake.. U would be closer to the dawgz

D_Roc1320 November-30th-2005 11:15 PM

Well then damn, i guess illinois is out of the question. And trust me, your not alone with hating that flaky white substance that falls to the ground around this time every year. I think they call it snow, but i could be mistaken lol. And very glad to hear that it wont have any bearing on the SC kit. Good luck with everything, and let me know when its ready for sale. Later.

you're not the only one pissed about that, I paid $13k for mine brand new, went to try and find a replacement after a lady t-boned mine... They wanted more for a used one exactly like mine with 40,000 miles, than what I paid for mine brand new.

JDM-P5 December-8th-2005 08:34 AM

We drive Proteges...and since we now drive a car that's extinct, it's only fair for the price to go up...ha ha...j/k. Well, it is a rarity around here to see one...people motion for me to put my window down so they can ask me what type of car it is.....they're like Sport20? WTH is that? Ha ha.

smokentitan December-25th-2005 10:52 PM

If this car is still available at the end of January, I might be interested...

W/O blower...

I'm in Arbitration negotiation with Nissan on my Lemon Titan. If things work out the way i want, I'll end up with cash. Probably wont use it all though 1/2 down, finance the other half, pay off by the end of `06 and buy me a new Frontier LE Crew...

Have you ever babied it to see what mileage she gets? I need her for a daily commuter/weekend cone racer. I need something that can get 30mpg hwy not too babied...

Beautiful car. Did you do the work yourself? I'll go back and re-read it, I'm stuffed and the screen is looking blury, time for bed...

smokentitan December-25th-2005 10:55 PM

Yeah, did you do all the work yourself or what?

I would want to look her over...

With all the mods, would you reccomend her for a 50mile round trip daily commute? Might be kinda stiff, ah, I use to roll a slammed RSX-S, it'll be allright...

Skip the professional detail and take the $$ off, I have my own professional detailer in the Memphis area, he's the best...

Hope this sucker is still available if all my nightmares end with Nissan the way I want them too...

Roddimus Prime December-26th-2005 12:50 PM

Yeah, I did all the work myself. I don't usually ever baby it or pound on it. Just drive it like normal. I rarely ever take it past 4K rpms. My last 2 tanks of gas I averaged out to be 27mpg which is both city and highway. I had planned on buying a new fifth gear that will drop the rpms about abother 300-400rpms in fifth. This should easily pick it up another few mpg on the interstate while not affecting it's performance around town.

It's not hard to drive around daily at all. The clutch is pretty grabby so if you're not real careful with it there will be some chattering. The stock flywheel could either be resurfaced or you could swap out the friction disk with a less grabby stage 2. (That was my original plan).

Check back with me when you're ready and we'll talk more then. I'm always around.
