I was feeling so sorry for you until the above post. I thought you were kind of broke but better off than I am. Now it sounds like the following:

"Oh my goodness, the finances are getting really bad, pretty soon I'm going to have to fire one of the butlers".

oh mannydingo...I dont know how to respond to that...

Sometimes you have to re-evaluate your priorities...and mine dont lie in making car payments....

the point of this thread was not to generate sympathy, it was to sell my car...I just never realized how many folks cared if I was here or not....now I feel all warm and fuzzy....the car is still for sale, even more so since my primary camera just took a bog ol

Well, blessings in your search for a buyer. Meanwhile, I will keep driving my 91 Ford Escort. At least I have my wife in a 98 Escort but with loads of miles and a crash repair. My 94 Protege died ages ago. All I do now is sell parts off of it until it has to do to the graveyard.

Looks like the engine is about to be sold for $300 or more. The tranny is gone. What's left is the seats, both front doors, trunk lid minus one tail light, the rear section of the console, heater core, automatic seat belt control unit (that's the box under the seat), alternator, steering pump & starter, rear stabilizer bar, rack & pinion. The rest is miscellaneous cables and such.

I'm thinking about parting out my '92 dx - but i dunno, only thing it needs is valve seals (smokes some)

Just my 0.02 cents, but unless you find the right buyer (and this forum is about the only place you would) you'd probable be better off parting the car out. I bet you could sell the suspension and various other pieces for a good few hundred bucks or more. And then the car will be more appealing to a mainstream buyer to boot. I'll be sorry to see a forum member go though too. Good luck selling. BTW, I have an '03 LX and I may want to buy some stuff off you if you do decide to part it out. So, I'm not biased or anything.
