2011 Mazda 3 Sedan Brake Problemas

Hi everyone, we bought a new Mazda 3 last Dec 2011, hoping that whatever issues we encounter on this vehicle will be covered by the Warranty. We have been having problems with the brakes (shaking/vibrating everytime we step on the brake) as far as I remember, so the Dealer whom we bought and serviced the car fixed this problem during the 20000km service. The braking system seems to be ok after a couple of months then it starts to shake and vibrate again everytime we hit the brake pedal. We just completed the 40000km service last September and we brought up the same problem with the Dealer. They recommended to have the rotor machined. So we ask if this should be under warranty. They said that the rotor have already been replaced during the 20000km service, so the problem will be our responsibility so we have to pay for it.

My question is, how could the rotor been fully damaged at 20000km? Is this a standard weakness or problem for Mazda 3?

Thumbs up

I too have a 2011 Mazda3s and while my mileage is 23,500 my rotors are fine. Rotors are a wearable part as well as brake pads so yes you'll have to pay for them. If I were you, look at the service receipt for the last service done by the dealer and see if they list in the parts section (rotors) and at what mileage this was done. If you find no rotors on that service receipt question the service manger what is going on. Your car has to low a milage on it to be replacing the rotors a 2nd time. Even individuals with a Speed 3 wouldn't be on their 2nd set unless they take it to the track. Do you do stop and go city driving where you are contantly hit your brakes? I'd get an indipendent repair shop 2nd opinion concerning this problem.
