Our first 04 mazda 3, bought it with 100k on it, lately it has a rough idle when you come to a stop, been to two dealerships both say its leaking intake gaskets and the tapping noise is the shutter valve in the manifold. 900 for the manifold they told me to live with it there is no harm in it tapping. I have done mech work for a long time but this install is baffling me, has anyone replace these on there own can not find 1/2 the bolts,are there special wrenches ? Also can not find a manual for this car. Needs some help! or will have to spend 500 to have them replace.
