Exclamation Need Help!

So I'm new to this forum and got my Mazda 3 around 2 months ago. Its a 2006 2.3L automatic sedan. My CEL has been coming on and off so I was worried and brought it to the mechanic. He checked it out and said that the speed sensor wasn't working properly so fixed it. After that a day goes by and the Cel light comes back on but when i bring it to the shop goes off. He tells me leave it in the shop and he'll see if it comes on again. So i leave it there and he tells me nothings wrong with the car if the CEL comes on again drive it and if it stays on bring it back. So I drive around with the car and it goes away. I call him and tell him it went off at this point i think he's getting annoyed by me calling his shop every week. But he tells me it might be a that the cars computer system is malfunctioning. Is it worth getting the cars computer system fixed?? or should i just drive it while it keeps coming on and off?

I'd go to a different mechanic and have him/her read the code for you. If they tell you it's the "input turbine speed sensor" and the CEL number is p0715, it's pretty simple to replace.

Mazda Part Number:
FN01-21-550

Tools:
10mm socket

Steps:
Disconnect the battery
Disconnect the ECU
Pull the battery holder
Locate the Sensor
Unbolt Sensor and disconnect harness
Connect the new sensor,do everything above in the reverse order.

Get the sensor from the dealer, make sure they ask for your vin number before you buy it, so you get the right part.

It's located directly on top of the transmission, should have two wires to it, and if you can bend your arm, all you need to remove is the stock airbox to get to it.
