MAzda 3 engine

is it true that the engine was built by FORD and its A Ford engine?

Ford owns Mazda and Volvo and The Mazda 3 and the Volvo S40 and Ford Focus share comon chasy and motor.

no...the 2.0 and 2.3 are part of the MZR family and are 100% Mazda motors..ford is borrowing them, like they did with the Probe and Escort GT

so everything in mazda3 are made in japan.. and its not a domestic engine?

You are correct sir...Engines are all Mazda...Mazda 3's are built in the Hiroshima plant

why is everyone so down on a ford motor?? That makes no sense to me.

The M3S is a great car. Drive it like it's stolen and make me proud.

no. I already told you its not...Matty is just asking a valid question....Ford did develop the Duratec 3.0 V6 which Mazda slapped a new head on and put in the Mazda 6
