I need some advice. My daughter has a 2004 Mazda 3S with the 2.3L engine and 160K miles.

Been running fine until recently. The problem is when the car is idling, in gear, at a stop. The idle is very rough and acts like it wants to stall.

The check engine light is not on and there are no codes.

I have cleaned the MAF, removed & cleaned the throttle body, and replaced the spark plugs to no avail.

No sure where to go from here so any advice would be appreciated.

I have the exact same problem with my 2006 Mazda 3, did you find the problem? any advise is welcomed.
