White cluster gauges. Change blue light

Hey Id like to change the blue cluster light when the headlights are on to just white.

Im sorry but the blue background with red = purple. Im a dude and I feel like ive lost my masculinity. Dosnt help when my girl absolutly loves it!

Is it as simple as changing a blue led to a white one?
Thanks

the blue LED is mounted in the hood over the cluster, it just points down at it. SO it's relatively easy to get to, though I don't know the size, so you'll have to figure that part out. But it's probably a through hole T1 or T1-3/4 size, and yes it's as simple as changing the LED. Though make sure the original one is just a bare LED and not one with an integrated resistor. This can be tested by measuring the voltage when it's on, if it's about 3.5V it's just a bare LED, if it's 12V it's got a resistor in it to adjust the brightness.
In either case you'll probably want to get a very bright LED and add a resistor to change the brightness as you see fit for the gauge background.

Good luck.
