Warranty Question

This asshole in my neighborhood like 2 weeks ago shot my left quarter window with a bb gun and shattered the whole window; and now it's falling in.

I just got my car in April so it's still under warranty. I was wondering if anybody would know whether or not the warranty would cover my window considering it was vandalism...

this MUST be your first car......that is NOT a warranty issue. It's an insurance claim for you and an ass-whooping for your neighbor. First go to your neighbor and get them to pay for it. If they don't then call your police. Have the police make a report and report it to your insurance company so they can send the neighbors to collections.

Thanx!

We got the police involved and everything already...I just still need to get a new window but the dealer said it's gonna cost $3870 just for the window. I know we'll have to get the insurance involved but I'm hoping it won't raise my rates.

what kind of window are you getting for $3870???

Bluehatch32 September-3rd-2004 09:58 AM

A mazda certified rip off window

ImportdRacerRoxy September-3rd-2004 02:32 PM

the smallest window on the car... and ya, i agree; a mazda certified rip off window

Roddimus Prime September-3rd-2004 02:46 PM

if you pay mazda $3780 for that window you are a fool. Any local glass shop will do it for less than $500.

That price is insane. I cannot beleive that. My 2003 BMW got broken into and the driver side window was busted and replacing it only cost 400. sheesh.

Bluehatch32 September-3rd-2004 08:47 PM

For almost 4000 dollars you better not even have a door.

My buddy smacked a curb with his BMW and had to get 2 new wheels, 2 new tires, a two new axles, and it still didn't cost that much. Go to your dealer and throw him threw his side window and then tell him it's gonna cost him $4k for the new window and see how he reacts. They are full of it...go to another dealer.

velocity_r3d September-4th-2004 02:25 PM

Do you happen to mean $38.70??? because that sounds a lot closer to a real price! Maybe $387.00?

ImportdRacerRoxy September-4th-2004 09:58 PM

well...whatever they want from me for a new window really doesn't matter anymore. My mommy called our insurance company today and now our insurance company is sending some glass guys to my house on Tuesday, sometime between 8 and 12, to replace my window. And the best part is...0 deductable! They're gonna do it all for free. So now, I'm gonna have to find a ride to school on Tuesday since I can't take my car, but by the time I come home it'll be fixed; yay!

Matty Mooling September-4th-2004 11:44 PM

glad you got everything worked out :bt:

Roddimus Prime September-5th-2004 12:27 AM
