Seat Belt indicator is not working correctly
Hello, I am new to this forum and actully new to the Mazda 3. Just bought a 2004 Mazda 3. The best car I have ever owned, hands down. :score:
Yesterday though, my seat belt indicator went haywire. With the belt engaged the indicator lights up and beeps. With the belt disengaged the alarm and light come on. I can start the car with me being buckled and it comes on. Start it without buckeling it stays off and doesn't come on. I have searched this forum and the only thing I have found is procedures on how to disable the alarm. I don't want that. I want the issue resolved to when I wear my belt, which is always, the indicator stays off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks zoom zoom |
it may be something like the passenger junction box (PJB) being corroded. But there may be another legitimate issue - check your owners manual and see if there's another reason the light may flash. Like if the airbag is bad it may use the same light since I don't think there's a SRS warning light.
