I have a 2004 Mazda 3 with 73K miles. Recently it has been making a loud vibrating noise in the engine when I have the car stopped and am pressing the brake, like at a stoplight for example.

The local mechanic checked it and said he thought it was the lifting arm. Could this be the case and what kind of repair would this be?
