Does anyone know what transmission the 3 has? Since the 2.3L is found in the Focus as well, does it have the same transmission as the 2.0L Zetec or is it new. I'm asking due to Quaife LSD potential.

 

This has been covered before. Don't get the two confused. They happen to be the same size, but neither engine in the 3 has anything to do with either engine in the Focus. The Focus that is available in the US does not share the same platform as the 3. The C1 platform is shared with the Europe only Ford Focus C-Max, and the new Volvo S40 sedan and V50 wagon.
The transmission in the 3 is shared with the Mazda6.
As of now, Quaife America does not list a Mazda3 or 6 application for their ATB differentials
