Interior noise

Has anybody have noticed that the seats make an annoying sqeak especially when its cold outside? I took it to my dealer and they claim that they cant here anything but I think my dealers service department sucks. Just wanted to know if anyoneelse noticed this. My car is an 05 with 12000 miles.

Where is the sqeak coming from? (besides "the seat") - and most service departments suck.

and.. welcome to the club

It seem that the squeak is coming from the back. Where th bottom connects with the top part of the seat. When I twist or lean back on the seat is when I notice it also when Im driving if I go over a big bump or turning it sqeaks.

try sitting in the back seat, move the front seat from there, or have one someone sit in it... probably pinpoint the location better

I think mine does it once in a while.I think it's the drivers side seat belt. Next time you hear it just loose your seat belt a little bit. Let me know if I'm right

I had this noise in my car as well. This is very annoying. I took it to my dealer had a quick check and they cannot found out the problem. Tomorrow I will take my car to my dealer again and have a full check for it. If they cannot fix it, i will take some action, my lawyer told my I can get a replacement or refund. I just got my car last week and only did 400KM.

I think its the bottom cushion making noise. If you stick your between the seat and move the cushion it makes the noise. When I try to do the same thing on the passenger side no noise. Interesting huh

I found out two noises from my car. I went to the dealer for full check they found out one noise. It's from the the plastic cover to cover the third brake light, one of the clip made the noise.

Another noise i still cannot found it, probably the bottom cushion making the noise.

I cured the seat squeaking noise I had by putting some WD40 on the bolt that holds the seat belt clip to the bottom of the seat. Squeak is gone.
I think that I've cured the squeak from the glove box door, and I'm now working on the squeak from the passenger side door.

I have a 2006 with 4k on it making the same noise; I thought is was the seat as well. It seems to be the seat belt; unbuckle it the next time you hear the noise and it should stop. I am not sure of a fix for the seat belt

Hippo38...just so i get this right, your lawyer told you, he can get you a new car due to the squeak. Your best bet is to one...find a new lawyer who knows law one squeak will not constitue a new vechicle, ever sat in an older corvette, now that is squeaky. Secondly, try to locate the squeak and tell the dealer where you believe it is coming from, perhaps all it is, is the seatbelt and with a little felt cloth or WD-40 the issue can be solved.

if it's when you're moving around, check the seat belt attachment point on the seat, drop or two of oil and you'll be all set. I've had an ongoing issue with the center armrest squeaking and that one is quite stubborn.
When it's way hot, or now that it's cold i'm getting some squeaks from the windshield, possibly it's the dash - something to fix once it's warmer out.
I found that some of the clear, works on anything carwax (I used eagle one nanowax) works pretty good at removing squeaks on the plastic on plastic places. Though it doesn't seem to keep the squeaks away for more than a few months.

the windshield / dash will squeak with most bumps in the road, if everything's smooth it'll be quiet. I only notice this when it's near or below freezing out, think it's a different location of the squeak when it's way hot (75F+ sunny day and the car hasn't cooled off yet).
the center storage area squeaks when my arm bumps it, or on most any road surface.
the suspension doesn't squeak, but thumps louder than i'd expect on larger bumps.
Now that i'm thinkin about it, I had squeaks in the stereo faceplate which were mostly fixed with pulling it all apart and putting nanowax on the plastic to plastic spots. it's still creaky when the faceplate was off, but it doesn't flex that much in normal driving so it's all quiet now.
