Hey, guys --

I recently purchased an '06 Mazda3, and I love it. One thing I haven't seemed to grasp is how to get the 6 CD changer to work. There is a LOAD button, and every time I press and hold when there is a CD in there, it won't change the CD tray inside. However, when there isn't a CD in the current tray, I can press load, and it sounds like it's changing the trays on the inside. Do you guys have any idea to what the problem could be? If there was a way where it could do this while a CD is in there, that would solve all my problems. Any help I could get would be great, seeing that the car is used and is no longer under warranty.

are you sure you have the changer? All of the Mazda HU's have the LOAD button.... even the single disc players. If you have the changer then there will be a little 6CD icon on the left side (next to the LOAD button). If you do then just push the button (don't hold it). The stereo will beep and it will say "WAIT" on the display, and after it changes the tray it will say "IN". Then you stick the disc in.
