Only thing you're paying for is a sticker and the GARUNTEE that it won't throw CEL's. I've known quite a few people who've bought ebay intakes and had CEL's. But if it's a decent company that makes "cheap" intakes, i'd trust them.

As for Cat Back's, I personally Like the Mazdaspeed Cat-Back, it's a mazda part so you get the 1 year warrenty, and the dealer can't give you problems about warrenty.

aaaarg have i taught you nothing you were right in the first place, FWD cars can drift...all cars can drift the only diff is technique...and for FWD there is more damge done but its drifting none the less, its all about how much your willing to spend, again you can drift in a FWD and anybody who tells you otherwise cant tell a clutch pedal from the gas pedal.

Oh and yeah all an CAI is a pipe and your really only paying for the name when getting it from a place like Injen or AEM, but its safer to get it from them, cuz getting it from an off brand place or ebay you run the risk getting the wrong size i.e. the bends, or the hole for the MAF sensor might be in the wrong spot.

i trust name brand cuz u get warranty and a peace of mind. What the mess is a cat back?@_@

no i only get espn 8 ocho :yelrotflm it must be harder to drift in awd cuz less control...

I talked to a friend the other day about getting turbo in my 3 but he said something like i had to get a blower first cuz of the way the 3 is built :uhh:

actually you have more control in AWD...just requires more power to be breaking 4 tires loose...

Your friend is wrong....there are already turbo kits available for the 3, and they work fine....

this thread is possibly the most rediculous series of posts since G.I. was pwned.

Termisk8er August-2nd-2006 11:48 AM

yeah i thot so, I was thinking about buying this lancer rally edition for 3 thou (definently not replacing my 3) but to just have fun with and mod. more like a fun car u know. one i dont have to worry about too much. its in good shape, its so cheap becuz the car dealership is going out of business and he can get it sold becuz not many people want a standard.

macdaddyslomo August-2nd-2006 12:00 PM

total POS...but for $3K, I'd do it too

Termisk8er August-2nd-2006 12:18 PM

i mean its always cool to have a college car to run around and do crazy stuff in. i mean it gives u a peace of mind of not caring about what happens to it so u can run around, run over mail boxes if u want. whatever! lol i just wanted a car that i could buzz around in and not care if it got screwed up or something. kinda like a big go kart. me and mybuddy's are gonna throw about 300 each cuz we are all going to the same college and we are gonna just probably tear the poor thing up

Please don't run over people's mailboxes. That letter from their sick mother, or their son/daughter in Iraq, or thier father who's been on the road for 2 weeks could be in there. Would you want some little idiot to take that away from you?

Termisk8er August-2nd-2006 01:21 PM

if u knew where i was going to college u would know that its out in the middle of a bean field...literally, i would be amazed it i found a mailbox to run over, i was just giving examples. Just talked to the guy on the phone, he said if i pay in cash he would hand it over for 2200. I was liek PSHYAH so im going to collect and pay him, theres prolly something technicle wrong with it but i drove it around it was fine. Ill take a look when i get home and see wut the problem is even if its busted its still a good deal
