2006 Mazda 3 Hatchback Reliability
Looking to help my Autistic Step son find reliable car, we found a 2006 Mazda 3 Hatch Automatic with 146K miles.
Reviews indicate this is a good daily driver, test drive was excellent except we had it in manual slap shift mode, which was new to us, but kind of coo!
The auto was clean in and out except left front fender was replaced and needs matching paint- Metallic Grey- I think that's 29Y code.
Anyone with suggestions on thinks to look and check for on this auto? Any known problems? Any major maintenance items that I should be prepared for at 146K Miles?
The test drive was excellent- engine sounded good, no signs of any fluid leaks, no signs of issues with CV axle noise (Clicking)
or strut issues.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, just need good dependable daily driver that will run 50 miles a day max. 15 to 20K a year- hoping regular fluid changes will get us close to 200K miles
without expecting any major repairs.
