2006+ 6-disk MP3-playing Bose-compaitble DIS head-unit?
 

.. anyone? I have an '04 (GT 5-speed 2.3 :) and I can't stand the non-MP3 Bose (ugh..) single-disk non DIS HU. Must.. replace... If anyone is upgrading their head unit and wants to get rid of their old one, drop me a line.

Sadly it won't work. The wiring was changed in '06 and a '06 HU won't work plug and play in a pre-'06 car (the LCD has a separate plug in the newer models).

As far as Mp3 goes in '04-'05 there was an optional single CD/Mp3 HU. In '06 this was replaced with a 6CD/Mp3 HU, but again that stereo won't work in your car. It may be possible the simply replace the CD player part of the HU but I'm not sure.

Now I wonder if there's a harness to convert the '04 up to an '06+.

If anyone knows of such a beast, please let me know.
