2005 Mazda3 -- air filter brace?
Hi,
I have a 2005 LHD Mazda3 2.3s and I have a dumb but important question I'm hoping someone can help me answer.
In the left front corner of the engine compartment, next to the air filter, there is a roughly triangular plastic brace, held on by three plastic screws, that seems intended to keep the air filter box from moving side to side. If you've ever replaced the front headlight bulb, you've probably run afoul of this brace, which has a little flip-up section that is supposed to (but usually does not) let you get at the bulb without removing the triangular piece.
My question is this: What on earth is that plastic piece called? Mine broke at one point and I'd like to figure out if it's something I can replace, but I have no idea what Mazda calls that piece and I haven't yet found an engine compartment parts diagram that would identify it.
Anyone have any idea? Thanks!
