I have an 04 Mazda 3 hatch

I bought this car and sadly didn't notice that the cd player doesn't work.. It says "cd in" but when I push the CD button or load or eject it does nothing.

Therefore, I bought a new one (cd player) stock, same thing. I replaced it this afternoon but it STILL DOESN'T work.. It just says "cd in" and does NOTHING..

What do I do?

I have been told by a couple people I'm just out of luck and need to get an after market cd/radio player, if that is the case what are some that fit the 04 mazda3 perfectly?

look in the audio owners manual suppliment, there are debugging procedures that may cover this.
Are you using a normal music CD, one you made yourself, or an MP3 disk?
