Red face Tire fit on Mazda 3

Please forgive me now, I know the bare minimum to get by about cars, and maybe a little less than that, lol. I've been looking over the archives and I haven't found an answer to my specific question.

I was given 4 215/70R16 Blizzaks. I would really like to use them on my 2005 Mazda3, but I don't know if it is possible. I currently have the original 17 inch rims. I need to know if these tires will fit my car if I have the correct rims, and if they will, what size rims do I need? I know 16 inch, but I have no idea how to figure out what width I would need if they will fit.

Thanks!

The 215/70R16 tires would be to tall. The factory 16" tire option is 205/55R16
