Thumbs down EBC Green stuff pads

Bought these to reduce the dust in the rear but wanted matched pads all around. Could never get the fronts to stop squealing from the get-go. Tried anti-squeal, sanding the pads and rotors, nothing helped. Put the stock fronts back on immediately. Before it's even said, yes the pads were bedded properly, not my first time at this.

The rears were fine up until this week. About 900 miles on them. Now they squeal when warm. Just put the stock rears back in this morning. I hate squeal.

As for the dust reduction...maybe 10% less then stock. Certainly nothing to brag about or as they claim. I've got Hawk HPS on my 350Z and they are 95% dustless and squeal free. Guess you get what you pay for.

Anybody want a cheap set (both axels) of EBC pads. The fronts don't even have 10 miles on them and as mentioned the rears only 900 miles. Sell for $60 shipped!

it just seems to me that performance pads like this are more prone to the squeal. ive gotten the noise from the hawk hps street brake pads and hawk hp plus brake pads.

I've had great luck with Porterfield R4-Ss

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...kes/Brake_Pads

So far, they've lasted longer, bit better, and dusted less than my old Hawks or Axxis Ultimates. A little expensive, but IMO, it's worth it to spend a few extra bucks on brakes.

Sure, why not. I'm back to the stock pads now anyway.

Fot what I have heard. The 3 was marketed with low quality rotors. Thats one of the reasons for the squicking....

I used green stuff pads on a Cooper S a few years ago and my rotors warped, I'll never buy them again.

I bought the GreenStuff for my track day at the Glen...they squeeled insessantly at first...after my track day and a a couple thou miles they only squeel occasionally. I replaced the rotors with basically stock units. I haven't had problems with warping.

Oh, and they were great at the track...

I think they create more dust than the stock pads, or at least they did at first
