Smile brake pads

hi could someone tell me how many kilometres should I get frm the brake pads on my brand new mazda 3 maxsport it's done 10000 km , would they be due for replacing. thnx merry Christmas.: ps car is driven carefuly & sedately in city driving conditions.

10k km is way too little. Either someone's riding the brakes or there's a problem.
You should get around 30k MILES out of a set of new OEM pads.

THANK YOU EGGYNATEY i'm glad I wont have to bother with brakes for awhile, is there a signal when brakes are low ?. hope the RX7& PROT.... R OK. MERRY CHRISTMAS .

Thanks Jack. I hope you have a happy holiday too!

One way to see if your pads are getting worn is to check the brake fluid level. If it's looking a little low (and you have no leaks), then the pads are probably ready for a change.
