2004 3i Needs new Bearings

So my front left bearing has puked, and my front right is getting close to puking as well.

Problem is, the quotes I am getting to replace them are outrageous. Over $800 ($245 per bearing plus almost $400 in labor) total.

Any idea what this service should cost? As far as I can see its about $140 per bearing in parts, and research shows only about 2 hours to do the whole thing. I keep getting quoted for 4-5 hours in labor.

Thanks all.

You could always try doing it yourself too... The shops go by a book estimate, may want to find a small shop that could do it by their actual time or just do it cheaper since they need business.
