16.1 is an exceptionally good time for a 1st-gen Protege. So, what equipment does your car come with. In the U.S., A/C and power everything was standard after 1990, and the lightest Proteges were around 2480 lbs.

And what tires do you run?

Be prepared for a lot more traction than you're used to. Those 205 Azenis' hook pretty strong. I'll be looking for a 2.3 sec 60 foot. Hope you get more than one run for your time.

What I should have said is that while optional, almost all of them came with it (A/C). In '90, PW/PDL/CC/and radio were all options. In '91, all those came standard on the LX.

Does that mean you have a SOHC? Most (almost all) 13" wheels won't fit on the LX (DOHC) cars. Although the SOHC 5-speeds aren't a whole lot slower than the DOHC cars, due to lighter weight (about 80 lbs).
