Recommended by who? All the literature I've read from companies like NOS makes no recommendation like that.

Protege's run rich to begin with, why retard the timing even more, actually, YOU CANT retard the timing.

I ran that 15.4 with just a 50 shot, nothing else, full interior, now i got a 75, CAI, Stiff Coilovers.

What kind of fuel mods have you done to keep up with that much juice? Hopefully some. :)

the nos faq said something about retarding the timing a certain amount for every 50 hp or something like that

but i could be wrong

also, retarding the timing and running rich are 2 different things
proteges run rich enought to not preignite
which is 14.7:1
just like every other naturally aspired car

and according to this guy, u dont need to retard the timing
and most likely hes right

but thats because these systems are made for small displacement cars

for your protege u cant retard the timing

but the older ones, which is what i assumed we were talking about have a distributer

Many many many many questions I have. I know absolutely nothing about y'all's econo-boxes, soooo... why can't you retard the timing?
Just how much of a shot of N2O can your stock block handle?
What's the average stock 'Ge run? 17.1ish? I know someone said Road & Track said 16.8 but those numbers are never right. They say a Civic Si does like 15.2 - 15.5 area.

Lastly, anyone wanna' race? :D
Baton Rouge, Lousyana area...
