hehe, it's all rite, everybody understands what he means......

If you're good, you should be hoping for about 16.8 sec.

MP5 as in Mazda Protege5 and most of us refer to it as such including MYSELF . Now i've run the 1/4 mile numerous times with my Auto which i think is killing me. My best Time to date is 17.52 and that is with: Injen CAI, Intake & Exhaust Cams, Custom 2.25 Catback exhaust, Denso Iridium Plugs.

My bad for the confusion I meant Intake Cam & Exhaust Cam. I just worded it Intake & Exhaust Cams. Plural instead of Singular because i was referring to both.

a 3rd gen 1.6 here in Australia has run a flat 17 with only cat-back exhaust and k&n panel filter.

2l should average about 16.5....

I made the 1/4 mile in 17.04 @ 83 MPH in third gear @ 6600 RPM with my project car. I guess it is not bad after all. First time I went, my wife was in the car and my tool box in the back, and that time I made 17.40 secs. The only thing special I got is and Air filter and 2.25 Exhaust system. My timming is set @ 14 degrees. I'm saving some money to purchase gennie headers and I'm working on a cold air box and intake.MY-PAGE
