I can see there is a lot of people that like (love) their Proteges, but are there any in Texas?

I wouldn't say I love my Protege...I'm awfully fond of it though.

Good to hear from you all. I think it would be cool to set up some kind of get together, Im up for any place. I have had my car for a year but just recently started to mod it. (Finnaly gave up on the corvett, have to wait for the kid to get a little older). I would like to see that B&M shifter in a car be for putting 200 down. What do yaw think?

the B&M is awsome, well worth it. An easy install to I'd say go for it.

If we could get some people in on it Im game, I havent had a road trip in a long time. We need to pick a time and place, hopfully before it gets to cold!

I am just south of houston a little ways....out PAST sugarland.....near Wharton if you know where that is.

I guess the ? to ask is who is willing to drive and who aint! I'll drive H town or Big D. Our you all can come to Austin and I can show you around! I personally have had to much experiance in Dallas! But there are a lot of good winding roads here! Let me know. Hopfully the exh. and rings will be on before this happens

I'm in Oklahoma, if it's cool if Okie's tag along I'd drive to Dallas, or maybe Austin. Just got my 03 2 weeks ago and I'd like to see what it can do

Any of the Dallas guys know a place that we could meet, restruants, parks maybe BBQ (that way we don't bug any one!). I sure thought there would be a better response to this.

I get 30mpg when I don't have my foot in it. So it shouldn't take more than a tank to get down there. I do always haul ass on the stretch between Waco and Austin though. It always seems like everyone is doing 90mph, even in the slow lanes. I love it.

For my winnings I would like a nice cold 12 pack of Fat Tire. It can be purchased in many fine and not so fine retail outlets in and around the Dallas area. I have never looked in Austin although I'm sure it's there too.

Now about the game, White is just a better QB. We were out coached again. But I have to say some good will come out of it. There will be getting rid of Gregg Davis finnally.

White is a great QB, but he didn't have one of his best days in the air.
I think Mack has Stoops figured out pretty much, he just can't find anyone to make the plays to stop him.
How do you feel about the possibility of the game rotating schools when the contract is up in five years?

A def coordinator is what stopped OU, not Brown. By now you I know you have heard us UT fans say we want new coaches. Its not because Browns a bad one, he just aint worth the money we pay him. anyways, there was a plan for a meet but it got cancelled, theres a nopi race wars right now till sunday oct 17 at ennis..i was there earlier and the car show part was only two protege. a white one with houston import thing on the side (p5) and a black dx sedan. wish there was more.
also on the part of representing different areas in texas im representing DFW (dallas fort worth)..AND YES I LOVE MY MAZDA.. i have a converted 97 mazdaspeed protege, a 03.5 blue speed protege, a 98 mazda MPV es and back in the Philippines i have a 93 323 glx with 1.6l engine.. i gues i can say ive never driven any other brands.lol

man i should have posted something about the nopi drag wars. i am from ennis and i was there for a little while, i ended up doing some stuff and never went back. i own a black dx sedan but i wasn't showing. i actually parked outside. maybe next time!

Every on that has post on this thread needs to drive to Waco the weekend of 30 and we can get together! Or something like that! We need to meet, we can do it somewhere in the middle to cut down drive time. we could go to the east so houston guys can join us. We need to do this befor it gets cold.

im in school here in tyler but that sounds cool. i would like to meet other protege owners who love their car as much as i do. the next time that i will be in ennis or around the metroplex will be the 5,6,7 of november for my b-day. but hell even if we had to meet in the cold it wouldn't bother me. i've got a jacket and a nice heater in the pro:blue: let's do it!

Thats 3, Waco is only 1hr 20min from me. How far from Tyler? May be we could all meet in the middle. any one els?

well it would actually be closer if i were to tavel from ennis. from tyler it would be between 2-3 hours. but i dont know exactly from ennis. ennis is about 20 min north of corsicana. ill actually be moving back during december and i'll have lots of time before i start the fire academy in january. someone propose a date, damnit!!:wee:

Well November 6 is definitely out for me; UT plays OU State at home so I’ll be at the game. We could meet on the 7TH. He Specture do you think you might have the time to find us a place to meet? Maybe plot out a course to drive. We could do like we did in San Antonio. We meet at a park first talked for an hour or so and then went for a drive. We went to hooter to eat and then called it a day.
It took about 5hrs total.
That was pretty good but I would have liked to have done some more driving, I have to admit it was pretty cool with the 6 or 7 of us trolling down the free way. We definitely got peoples attention. It would be cool to get more people in this one.
