Hmmm....thats an interesting, and really good way to judge that, I'm just suprised mazda did that bad....I'm curious as to what other companys did, like kia....lol
|
Hmmm, I wonder if they were ranked higher a few years ago, since the 3, the 6 and the RX-8 are all pretty much completely new models.

I just compared a 2003 mazda protege -> 2003 honda civic -> toyota celica
Protege - Civic - Celica Mechanical Quality 2 - 4 - 4 Feature & Accessory Quality 4 - 4 - 3 Body & Interior Quality 3 - 3 - 3 Overall Quality 3 - 4 - 4 Performance 2 - 3 - 4 Comfort 3 - 3 - 3 Features & Instrument Panel 3 - 3 - 4 Style 2 - 2 - 4 < -- what?! Overall Appeal 3 - 3 - 4 |
Keep in mind this has much to do with new model releases, as there are almost always problems with new models being released. These numbers were much higher when the Protege and 626 were in the lineup

Where did you find the info? I'd like to look through that sometime.

I just compared these: 2001 Protege 2001 Corolla 2001 Focus 2001 Civic Sedan ....In long term, the only car which ranked higher than the pro was the carolla which got 5 points in all long term catagories....(I did 2001's for results in long term tests and because I have an MP3 which is an 01)
|
yah, that's the site I DID find :) compared '03 cars though (b/c got an '03 MSP)
|
when I bought my 99 sedan, the protege was the highest in it's class for safety, features, and a bunch of other stuff. Plus, CarNDriver did a glowing right up.
