China??? Never heard that one before. Is your sales manager a "buy American "guy who's looking for reasons to hate Mazda or what? What's the story he's giving you?

i believe in america we have only gotten the IS300, though its been rumored we will be getting a new high perforamnce version called the IS430 with AWD. Apparently Lexus (toyota TRD) built a high performance IS300 with there 430 V8 engine and mated it to an AWD system (i assume the system from thier LX470 truck). The lexus boards have been discussing this for a while and they all semm to beleive it will be coming out, but i honestly dont think it will. I just think that if they were to do that its too much competition for the GS430, SC430, and the next generation supra. But hey car companies dont always make the most sense and release cars like the Lincoln blackhawk. BTW the IS200 that they do make is a European model using a 4cyl engine. The reason i dont think they sell the 200 here is cause lexuse would be selling a 4cyl car, and i think there scared that would ruin there luxary image. If u look at the major luxary car companies, mercedes, bmw, acura, lincoln, infiniti and cadillac. There are only 3 4 bangers in there. The mercedes lil C i believe has a 4 (though someone could correct me on that) The BMW made Mini has a 4 (though they buy the engine from Mercedes) and the Acura RSX isa high perfromance 4. In the luxary sector 4 cylinders does not speak luxary like 6. And besides lexus is sewlling those 300's like hot cakes, why do they need to sell a cheaper 200, ok im done rambling, peace

 

SAAB has a 4 banger and so does Volvo S40

The Mazda 6 will be built in China, but the ones built there are only being sold in China.
