I paid 35 dollors to get my ten pound bottle filled, but from what I have heard everywhere you go it differs a little. They charge by the pound. So they charged me 3.50 per lbs. of N2O

To me it seems like using nitrous for timmings is kind of cheating. Maybe because its a system you have to refill to use...but to me its cheating, but I like cheating:bt:

What kind of bottle is it? I ask mainly because I used to play paintball and I used to fill tanks for people.. its a 20lb siphon tube, I'm sure what I need is something different but its worth a try.

My ZEX Bottle has a siphon in it as well but it is only 10lbs.

Ok...newbie here on this subject so what is:
WOT and BPT?

So you got the kit, and plugs....that's it and you're all set with ZEX?

WOT is Wide Open Throtle and BPT I believe refers to an earlier series Mazda engine which is turbo.
And Yes all I bought was the ZEX Kit itself and the spark plugs and I am running N2O. Although it is the lowest amount possible because to go higher you would need a way to retard your timing.

OK, after reading these posts (and maybe watching the movie The Fast and the Furious), you guys have me very interested in installing nitrous.

The Fast and the Furious has made everyone person in the world think that NITROUS' nickname is NOS. NOS is a brand name. They sell nitrous kits. If you want to abreviate use N2O or ZEX in this case......to save me from going insane!!!

The kit number is #82011 , That is for fuel injected cars. This is what I am using.

So now that you've had it in for a while, are you happy with it?

Any driveability issues? Does power come on smoothly or do you hit a certain RPM and get punched? Are you concerned about reliability? Warranty?

OK guys for eveyone that is deciding betwen Zex and NOS I will post again tonight as I have run Zex in a Del Sol I had and tonight I'm dropping the NOS kit in my "00 ES so I will tell you which one I like better....I can already say the setup and putting the Zex kit in is alot easier but it looks like the NOS kit will hold up better in the long run and it also can be more widely tuned...I could go all the way down to a 5 shot if I wanted but show wants that....untill I drop in the turbo(3 weeks) and use it as an aux intercooler. I will let you all know...BTW I got my NOS kit 2 weeks old from a friend for 200 bucks with a full bottle.

The HP reference both ZEX and NOS nitrous kits commonly use are just ruff estimates. There are many different sized jets available for either system. The ZEX kit is easier to install since you don't have to mount micro switches anywhere. The ZEX kit is only compatible with certain throttle position sensors and fuel pressure regulators types though.
